Currixa (“Currixa”, “we”) provides software that schools and tuition centres (“institutes”) use to generate academic reports and communicate with parents. We process data on behalf of the institute, which is the data controller for its students’ information.
What we collect
- Account data: your name and Google email when you sign in, and your role within your institute.
- Academic data (on the institute’s behalf): student names and IDs, exam scores, rubric bands, and the report comments your teachers write or generate.
- Parent contact details that your institute adds for sending reports.
- Activity logs: a record of who changed what, used for the audit trail and version history.
How we use Google data
When an institute connects a Google account, we use Google APIs only to perform actions you request: reading the exam spreadsheets you choose to import, and saving generated reports to that institute’s own Google Drive. We request the minimum scopes needed and store an access token securely to act on the institute’s behalf. We do not sell your data, and we do not use Google user data for advertising. Currixa’s use of information from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Where data is stored
Operational data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database. Report files and data snapshots are saved to the institute’s own Google Drive. Access is restricted to the institute’s authorised users and to Currixa staff strictly for operating the service.
Sharing
We share data only with the infrastructure providers needed to run the service (hosting, database, and Google), and never with advertisers or data brokers.
Retention & your choices
We keep data for as long as the institute uses Currixa. An institute can request export or deletion of its data at any time. Individuals can review and revoke Currixa’s access to their Google account from their Google Account settings.
